This live drawing captures one of the female nurses, whom I nicknamed Mariah because she reminded me of Mariah Carey. Sketching from life required close observation, focusing on the structure of her features while maintaining the spontaneity of a real-time portrait. Soft shading was used to bring out depth, with particular attention to expression and facial contours. The challenge lay in balancing detail with the speed of live drawing, ensuring the likeness was accurate while keeping the composition fluid. The result is a portrait that merges realism with the unique character that inspired the name.
